Obstetrics and Gynecology

MGH is a leading provider of medical and care services for pregnant women. The department evolved over the years to meet the requirements of society. Twenty-four qualified physicians provide care for women during the perinatal period, including high-risk pregnancies.

Moreover, the department has a friendly environment policy in order to meet the expectations of pregnant women and their families.

Currently, the department is undergoing  renovation works and will soon include:

Three rooms for natural delivery;

A caesarean section room;

An observation and evaluation room;

Eleven maternity beds;

Four beds for gynecological cases.

The department also contains an IVF unit to assist families with reproductive difficulties.

A training program for residency is offered in cooperation with the American University of Beirut and Beirut Arab University, and was accredited in 1988 by the Arab Council for Health Specializations.
