Introduction

Get to know the Dr. Nabil Abdulrahman YASSIN. the Head of the pediatric hematology-oncology division at Makassed hospital I am committed to serve my patients with the best possible level of integrity and skills. And this is why when I started my career, in the year 1990, at MGH pediatrics department my upmost interest was to establish a skilled humanistic and comprehensive division to treat the hematologic diseases in children. And Makassed succeeded greatly. Above all we stress on team work. We also succeeded in making international affiliations with important centers like Lille (France) and St. Jude Lebanon (CCCL). Our approach crosses through the patients, and their families interest. We engage the family with the care plan, so they can develop deeper understanding of diagnosis and prognosis. We help our patients to proceed with educational progress. Actually I spend enough time with my patients, to get to know them and their families. We planned for all this, so that our patients receive the state-of-the-art management to improve their outcomes and ultimately allowing them to live a better and decent, active and healthy life. In short “they may forget my name, but they will never forget where and how they were dealt with and how they feel.”
